In her own words...
" I have never been one for playing sports or doing any exercise: my job kept me very active and that was enough, until I developed Multiple Sclerosis (MS).
My MS physio told me I needed to do exercises to keep my weak leg moving and looking after my stronger one. Although I tried, going to classes made me feel self-conscious as I have to wear a splint for my drop foot and am embarrassed I can’t move as easily as others. I even tried sharing a Pilates instructor with my husband, but I couldn’t do a lot of the moves due to my condition and I got very disheartened. I’m much more comfortable in my own home where there isn’t anyone to compare myself with!
Jenny was recommended to me by a friend. She tailors each Pilates session especially for me; taking into account what I can and can’t do – my left leg has a mind of its own! And I’ve been suffering with a frozen shoulder on both sides.
I know I’ll get each move right, under Jenny’s watchful eye. She has taught me how to use aids to make sure I am in the right position when exercising on my own. She’s very patient and great at motivating me and even shows me exercises to fit into my life – between sessions – like when I’m watching TV or making dinner for my family.
I thoroughly enjoy our time together and have learnt a lot. I definitely feel better after each session – like I have actually achieved something! "
